Opportunity
Our Fortune 500 client is seeking a Network Security Engineer to join their headquarters’ team in Detroit, MI. This role will be responsible for managing network security technologies including firewalls, VPNs, web proxies, and SSL-VPN. This role is currently defined as REMOTE, likely transitioning to onsite in Detroit with some ongoing share of remote work.

Responsibilities
- Performs the installation, configuration, and management of Juniper firewalls with ScreenOS, and Palo Alto Firewalls from versions 6.1 to 8.0.6
- Deploys, manages, and troubleshoots bluecoat proxies and proxy management servers
- Monitors network, responds to alarms, and escalates trouble tickets with vendors as required
- Participates in ongoing infrastructure support, analysis of network use and design, and assists in future planning of the infrastructure
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related field
- 2+ years of full cycle management with Palo Alto firewalls and Pulse Secure SSL-VPNs
- Proficient in configuring and managing bluecoat proxies and proxy management servers
- Familiarity with Fortinet firewall configurations
- Able to participate in 24×7 on-call system and application support rotation with occasional off-hours support
Benefits
- Pay range is up to $116K annually ($50 to $58 per hour, commensurate with experience)
