Our client, one of the leading manufacturers of battery cables and wire harnesses, is seeking an Administrative Assistant to join their team in Southfield, Michigan. The selected candidate will have experience with Microsoft Office, prior office management and excellent communication skills.

  • Maintain and create files or record keeping systems to include sorting, filing, and retrieving documents
  • Coordinate transportation, travel and lodging for entire office and personnel
  • Create travel workflows for entire office and monitor until closed
  • Maintain calendars and schedules
  • Coordinate and assist with computer equipment and task requested with IT
  • Prepare and maintain new hire documents
  • File and coordinate office bills and related expenses with accounting team
  • Answer calls and greet visitors, provide information or direct caller/visitors to appropriate person.
  • Coordinate all office repairs or building maintenance with landlord
  • Coordinate domestic and international shipments incoming and outgoing
  • Assist purchasing/engineering with procurement of material during prototype or pilot phases
  • Assist accounting with any issues including, scheduling, account payables, etc.


  • 1-3 years of experience in automotive admin role
  • Excellent working knowledge in MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Experience with SAP interface is a plus
  • Ability to work and coordinate several activities simultaneously


  • Pay is $32K to $36K annually
  • Direct hire with this employer
