Our client, a leading manufacturer of battery cables and wire harnesses for the automotive industry, is looking for an Account Manager to join their team in Southfield, MI. The selected candidate will be responsible for all commercial aspects of the product portfolio: automotive power cable harnesses and automotive data cables.

  • Identify key decision makers at potential customer sites and develop strong business relationships
  • Identify customer needs and act as the customer voice at internal meetings
  • Act as key stakeholder during the RFQ process in order to position internal cross-functional teams
  • Manage all aspects of customer quotations and price breakdowns
  • Provide direction and market trends of products and customers in order to gain competitive edge
  • Grow market share through expansion of existing business and new customer acquisition
  • Work alongside Management, Engineering and Purchasing, locally and in Europe/Mexico


  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business
  • 5+ years of experience working in a Tier I Automotive environment
  • Commercial and Engineering experience, specifically with harnesses and cables
  • Willingness to travel to client sites
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills


  • Pay is commensurate with experience, plus bonus potential
