Job: Manufacturing Project Manager – Carlsbad

Opportunity

Our Client is currently seeking a Manufacturing Project Manager to join their team in Carlsbad, CA. The selected candidate will involve close coordination with internal resources to drive critical projects and key initiatives with a focus on quality improvements, facilities initiatives, as well as operational improvement projects. The Project Manager collaborates with cross-functional team members to drive readiness through planning, timeline, and deliverable execution while maintaining scope of their projects.This position reports to the Head of Project Management and Strategic Execution.

Responsibilities

• Creation/modification of P&IDs, specifications, technical exceptions, schedules and project cost based on the review and interpretation of customer’s request for quote/proposal and user requirement documentation
• Manage the project from project initiation to completion, acting as the primary contact
• Manage schedules and costs by keeping spending within project limits and ensure quality standards are met
• Assess the impacts on cost and schedules due to requests for modifications made by clients and seek agreement to ensure such requests are properly met

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in the life sciences
• 5+ years of Project Management experience with proven ability to develop and lead cross-functional teams/projects
• 5+ years of experience working with biological systems including manufacturing, process development, product assays, and testing
• 5+ years of experience working with FDA regulated Quality systems
• 5+ years of experience working with MS Project, MS Excel, and MS Word
• PMP® certification preferred

Benefits

• Pay is $120K to $140K per year ($60-$70 per hour), commensurate with experience
