Opportunity
Our client is in need of an experienced Mobile Applications Developer with strong Objective-C knowledge. This is an opportunity to join a growing team of architects, analysts, database engineers and UI designers working towards delivery of leading-edge mobile banking solutions. Proven experience working in a high-volume, web-oriented environment is also desired.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for developing mobile solutions for the iPhone platform, working directly with an existing mobile solutions environment that supports both end-user interaction and back-end connectivity (core systems in banking, entertainment and media). You will work with a variety of team members, including architects, analysts, database engineers and UI designers to deliver leading-edge mobile solutions.
• At least one year of relevant work experience
• Experience developing apps in a professional capacity (submitting to the store, etc.) is preferred
• Experience building apps using scripts and/or build automation tools (e.g. Jenkins) is preferred
• Experience with JIRA, Git, and developing on OS X is a plus
Qualifications
• 2 or more years iOS experience building mobile applications
• Deep understanding of Objective-C language fundamentals (e.g. classes, objects, methods, etc.)
• Deep understanding of UI fundamentals (e.g. ViewController lifecycle, etc.)
• Strong debugging and trouble-shooting skills
• Familiar with web communication standards (e.g. HTTP, REST, JSON, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of mobile security best practices
• Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written
• Excellent time management and interpersonal skills
• Must be detail-oriented and a team-player
• Ability to work with UI without using the visual editor, storyboards, xibs, etc.
• Ability to live-demo and engage in technical discussion of past work is preferred
