Job: Water/Wastewater Engineer – Grand Rapids

Opportunity

Our client is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer to join their team in Grand Rapids, MI. This role will be responsible for the design of water and wastewater treatment systems and the development of asset management plans.

Responsibilities

• Manages the studies and design of effective water and wastewater treatment systems
• Conducts appropriate cost-benefit analyses for assigned projects
• Collaborates with multiple project teams and acts as lead hydraulics contact in preparing asset management plans
• Creates, reviews, and critiques water and wastewater treatment system proposals
• Ensures building, water, and equipment specifications comply with applicable local, state, and federal guidelines and codes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
• 4+ years of related experience in the study, planning, and design of water and wastewater treatment plants
• Proven technical skills in hydraulics development and processes
• Understanding of Michigan Municipal, Township, and County government practices and regulations
