Job: Test Technician (Automotive) – Troy

Opportunity

Our global client, a leader in durability, fatigue and hot vibration testing, is looking for a Test Technician. This is an opportunity to join an automotive engineering firm that helps set the global benchmark for quality and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Install and setup customer supplied components for testing.
• Perform initial data quality checks.
• Configure test bed operation system for safe and optimal testing.
• Become proficient at using the test cell systems.
• Setup data channel configurations and test profiles.
• Ability to approach problems in a scientific manner and implement resolutions with minimal guidance. Fabricate and/or modify fixture and test components as required.

Qualifications

• 1 – 3 years of experience in a durability testing environment.
• Experience in equipment maintenance, repair, and diagnostic troubleshooting.
• Knowledge in the setup, maintenance, and operation of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, environmental, and electro dynamic systems.
• Must be able to wear personal protective equipment including safety glasses, ear muffs/plugs, steel toed shoes, etc
• Candidates must be able to work Afternoon and/or Midnight shifts.

Benefits

• Pay of $18 to $23 per hour, based on experience.
