Job: Senior IT Business Analyst/Project Engineer – Detroit

Opportunity

Our client, a Fortune 500 company, is currently seeking a Senior IT Business Analyst/Project Engineer to join their team at their Detroit, MI headquarters.

Responsibilities

The Senior IT Business Analyst/Project Engineer will provide inputs to the project estimates for man hours and schedule (timelines and milestones). The role provides guidance and direction on defining technical requirements and providing work scope definition, monitoring and control. In this role, you will act as an interface and liaison between vendors/developers, internal stakeholders, and the project team to resolve engineering design problems. You will ensure the design packages or work items satisfy the design intent, however, the design and development work is performed by others.

• Manage projects to ensure accurate delivery of projects in scope, on time and within budget
• Initiate and propose scope and design changes
• Directs activities of engineers providing design, specification and cost analysis
• Participates and may lead Process Improvement teams
• Oversee test procedures, investigate new technologies, materials and equipment
• Develop models and analyze complex data to support recommendations

Qualifications

• 4+ years as an IT technical project manager with continuous improvement mapping experience

• Above average skills with Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Project
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Proven job-related complex problem-solving and independent judgment abilities
• Excellent attention to detail and high degree of accuracy in all work

• Strong customer focus, approachable and helpful, proactive and timely in responding to requests
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (MIS, CIS)
• PMP certification is desired

• Pay of $65 per hour (about $130K annually)
