Job: SCCM Systems Engineer – Detroit

Opportunity

Our client, a Fortune 500 company, is currently seeking two SCCM Systems Management Engineers to join their team at the downtown Detroit, MI headquarters.

Responsibilities

The SCCM Engineers will design and maintain all aspects of the new Microsoft Systems Center Configuration Manager 2012 R2 environment which includes: Server infrastructure, administrator console, software/hardware inventory, software distribution, patching, imaging, reporting, health monitoring and alerting.

• Monitor Microsoft SCCM Platform health and mitigate identified problems.

• Monitor Microsoft and other critical security software patches and updates.

• Work with teams to remotely deliver upgrades, updates, patches, & deploy applications.

• Add/remove/change programs available in SCCM Application Catalog.

• Participate and oversee the building and maintenance of desktop images, assisting in the production and employment of Group Policy Objects to manage the environment.

• Perform, test, and oversee upgrades to new versions of SCCM as needed and/or required.

• Help to train other department associates are trained on all functions of SCCM.

• Serve as Level 3 escalation for SCCM issues.

Qualifications

• 7+ years IT technical experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (MIS, CIS)

• Proven job-related complex problem-solving and independent judgment abilities

• Excellent attention to detail and high degree of accuracy in all work

• Strong customer focus, approachable and helpful, proactive and timely

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Pay of up to about $116K annually ($55-$58 per hour)
