Job: SAP Developer (Business Objects, Business Intelligence) – Detroit

Opportunity

Our client, a Fortune 500 company, is currently seeking a Developer with SAP Business Objects and Business Intelligence experience. The selected Software Developer will be involved in the full systems life cycle and therefore are responsible for designing, coding, testing, implementing and supporting application software that is delivered on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

Works closely with clients, business analysts and team members to understand the business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions

These solutions must be aligned with business and IT strategies and are in compliance with the organization’s architectural standards.

Responsibilities beyond development of software may include participation in component and data architecture design, technology planning, product evaluation, advanced testing processes and buy vs. build recommendations.

Individuals also provide input to project plans related to the Application Development initiative.

Requested Skills

· Experience supporting an SAP Business Objects and Business Intelligence Suite infrastructure in the Enterprise, including server installation, configuration, and upgrades

· Experience with CMS cluster configuration

· Experience with Active Directory and LDAP security configuration and management, including SSL configuration

· Experience with Business Objects report and object promotion, account management, and optimization/tuning.

· Familiarity with the use and installation of the BI Client Tools such as Crystal Reports, Lumira, Business Objects Analysis for OLAP

· Ability to embrace new client tools and champion their use

· Experience with database Connectivity and concepts

· Experience troubleshooting end user connectivity, report, and server issues

· Participation in a Center of Excellent/Best Practices environment where knowledge is shared with end users and solutions are created collaboratively

· Ability to manage trouble and request tickets from the user community, willingness to share in on-call and after-hours support duties

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 8 to 10 years of experience with SAP Business Objects Business Intelligence Suite
