Job: Project Coordinator – Taylor

Opportunity

Our client, a global testing, certification, inspection and training provider, seeks a Project Coordinator in Taylor, MI. This lab conducts component durability testing on a wide range of products for the automotive industry. The main focus of the Project Coordinator role will be assisting the build group with various projects. Secondary knowledge of Environmental, Corrosion, and Erosion testing is a bonus. This role will require daily interaction with company customers and the test laboratory.

Responsibilities

• Direct/coordinates all aspects of special equipment build projects
• Works with builders to insure they have what they need to build equipment
• Coordinates with Engineering design changes or issues
• Clearly communicates with builders/fabrication/suppliers project requirements and timing
• Works with Business Development, Engineering, Management to deliver equipment builds on time
• Customer liaison for test programs by providing test schedule, timing and regular test updates
• Provide technical support to Account Managers for quoting
• Communicate and support test issues
• Ensure project safety, quality, timing and budgets maintained
• Prepare and review technical reports

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related
• 4+ years of experience as Project management
• 3+ years of automotive testing industry experience
• Fabrication or Electrical experience a plus
