Job: Program Manager (Auto) – Auburn Hills

Opportunity

Our client, a global testing, certification, inspection and training provider, seeks a Program Manager in Auburn Hills, MI. This lab conducts component durability testing on a wide range of products for the automotive industry. The main focus of the Program Manger role will be Vibration testing. Secondary knowledge of Environmental, Corrosion, and Erosion testing is a bonus. The Program Manager will manage specialized test systems for various automotive components such as electronic modules, engine and transmission parts, electric vehicle batteries, radiators and heater cores. This role will require daily interaction with company customers and the test laboratory.

Responsibilities

• Customer liaison for test programs by providing test schedule, timing and regular test updates
• Provide technical support to Account Managers for quoting
• Work with fellow Program Managers to schedule personnel and equipment for incoming testing
• Hold project meetings with team
• Communicate and support test issues
• Ensure project safety, quality, timing and budgets maintained
• Prepare and review technical reports

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related
• 3+ years of experience as Program Manager
• 2+ years of automotive industry experience
• Customer-facing experience
• Previous military experience a bonus
