Responsibilities

  • Perform immunity, RF, and emission testing per requirements detailed in international EMC standards and test procedures
  • Document results of testing and communicate with engineers

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in EMC testing
  • Automotive test lab experience
  • Day shift initially, may transition to 2nd or 3rd shift
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications

Our client, a leading manufacturer of automotive battery cables and wire harnesses, located in Southfield, MI is currently seeking a recent Electrical Engineering graduate to join their team. The selected candidate will lead assigned projects by serving as technical and program engineer responsible for product design and development from prototype phase to production. There will be regular Interface directly with customer engineering team.

Responsibilities

  • Routing, packaging and design of automotive wire harnesses for US OEM’s, in collaboration with local CAD Designer.
  • Evaluate customer information/requirements and review for technical compliance.
  • Create and document RFQ drawings and support creating technical presentations.
  • Release 2D product drawings in customer system in accordance with standards/requirements
  • Collaborate with various department team members globally to ensure compliance to core company processes and methods.
  • Collaborate with DVP&R (Design Verification Process and Report) team in Europe to validate product according to customer requirements. Assist European team in understanding requirements and be the lead interface to customer.
  • Assist in quoting process with purchasing related to assigned project Lead procurement of parts with purchasing to support US OEM project builds.
  • Coordinate and lead production of samples from Europe/Mexico.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in automotive Tier I supplier environment with design release background.
  • Self-directed and motivated to complete tasks and resolve issues with minimal direction from management.
  • Able to interface with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams globally.
  • Good working knowledge in MS Office: Word, Excel, Power-Point, and Outlook.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

Our client, a global testing, certification, inspection and training provider, seeks a 1st shift Test Lab Technician in Holland, MI. This lab conducts component durability testing on a wide range of products from the Automotive, Locomotive, Aerospace and Medical Industries. Many tests are conducted using a combination of elevated temperature, pressure, and/or flow rates. A Device Under Test (DUT) is often powered during testing and requires various measurements (physical or electrical) taken throughout the course of a test procedure. The ideal applicant will have prior test lab experience, a strong mechanical and electrical background, fluids testing experience, and a personality that includes being detail-oriented and self-motivated.

Responsibilities

  • Program and run Electro-Dynamic Shakers, Environmental Test Chambers, and Pressure/ Thermal/ Mechanical Cycle Equipment.
  • Document equipment and component performance during testing.
  • Hook-up to High Voltage Sources (240/480VAC); Measure Voltage, Current and Resistance.
  • Mix Internal Corrosion Solutions (NaCI/NaCH03) with Water/ Glycol.
  • Application of Automotive Fluids (Brake Fluid, ATF, Oil, Gasoline).

Qualifications

  • Experience with controls such as PLCs- RS Logix, Siemens 353, Allen Bradley, Panel Builder.
  • Experience with instrumentation such as Pressure Transducers, flow meters, thermocouples.
  • Experience working with pneumatics, hydraulics, Visual Basic, LabView, MS Office and Siemens I-Config.
  • Willingness to occasionally work overtime, weekends, and/or 2nd shift is highly desired
