Opportunity

Our client is seeking Test Technicians to join them in their new facility in Auburn Hills, MI to conduct testing and report findings with a high degree of accuracy. There are both day and evening shift opportunities. This is an onsite, contract position with the opportunity for direct hire.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and monitor product testing/assessments to applicable requirements
  • Collect and document test data in accordance with applicable test procedures and requirements
  • Inspect. photograph and document products for testing and assessments according to international, national and custom regulations
  • Ensure project timelines are adhered to by completing the assigned work within the allocated time
  • Prepare accurate test reports, test incident reports, and technical reports according to standards
  • Update supervisors and program managers with ongoing project status- daily
  • Operate and troubleshoot test equipment including software

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Electronics or Mechatronics is preferred
  • Electrical experience/knowledge is desired
  • Experience with handheld electrical and mechanical gauges, load cells, and environmental chambers
  • Ability to communicate accurately and professionally to internal and external customers

Benefits

  • Pay is $22 to $30 per hour, up to $60K commensurate with experience

The selected candidate will be responsible for final evaluation evaluating hardware documentation, inspecting products, measure process performance, recording data, and preparing formal reports.

Responsibilities
  • Reads and interprets work orders, inspection manuals, and blueprints to determine inspection and test methods/procedures
  • Tests and measures finished products, components or assemblies for functioning, operation, and accuracy
  • Inspects materials, products, and work in progress for conformance to defined requirements
  • Marks items for acceptance or rejection, records test results and inspection data, and compares findings with specifications to ensure conformance to standards
  • reads dials and meters to ensure that equipment is operating according to specifications and is calibrated
  • Confers with vendors and others regarding inspection results, recommends corrective procedures, and compiles reports of results, recommendations and needed repairs
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of on the job experience in mechanical inspection and visual appearance standards
  • High proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Faro Arm experience required
  • Brings excellent communication skills, positive attitude, and high attention to detail
