Responsibilities

  • Execute IQ/OQ validation protocols for microbiological testing equipment at customer sites used in the testing of pharmaceutical products or processes: install and prepare equipment and supplies, perform testing, document test results, write reports and maintain records
  • Ensure all systems are running according to necessary specifications and operate within regulations to ensure testing of quality products
  • Train customers on equipment operation
  • Provide PQ consulting to assist customers with test method suitability execution
  • Perform feasibility study on customer samples in house and equipment evaluation at customer site for pre-sale support of different microbiology testing equipment
  • Perform in house testing method development on customer products for microorganism detection
  • Coordinate with customers and various internal functions to complete validations (customer and technical service, sales and marketing)
  • Partner with the sales team to support the sales process, development of opportunities
  • Prepares weekly and monthly reports, plans and manages workload and budget
  • Assist in development of testing protocols

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiology (Master’s a plus)
  • Knowledge of application validation regulations and industry standards
  • Able to troubleshoot equipment on-site if needed
  • Able to wear PPE when required due to exposure to chemicals
  • GMP experience in a pharma lab
  • Great communication skills
  • Installations Qualification (IQ), Operations (OQ), Performance (PQ)
  • Experience with Salesforce is a plus
  • Travel to customer sites up to 75% of time (US, possibly Canada)

Benefits

  • Pay range is $75K to $85K W2 annually ($37.50 to $42.50 per hour), commensurate with experience

  • Experience with apoptosis assays and gene-editing techniques (RNAi, CRISPR) is beneficial
  • Experience with cell microscopy, Incucyte live cell imaging or other high content cell image analysis instrumentation is beneficial

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering
  • 5-10 years of experience in definition, design, development and implementation of production control systems for an advanced technology facility.
  • Experience in a commercial medical, biotechnology, Bio-pharmaceutical manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
  • Able to self-direct toward individual milestones as part of team projects with a strong sense of responsibility, urgency, and high energy with a positive behavior.
  • Must be a self-starter and work with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate across disciplines
