Job: GIS Developer – Detroit

Opportunity

Our Fortune 500 Client is seeking a GIS Developer to join their team in Detroit, MI.

The role will be REMOTE to start, likely on site by Spring 2021.

Responsibilities

Works closely with clients, business analysts and team members to understand the business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions. These solutions must align with business and IT strategies and comply with the organization’s architectural standards. Application/Software Developers are involved in the full systems life cycle.  Therefore, they are responsible for designing, coding, testing, implementing, and supporting application software that is delivered on time and within budget.

Responsibilities beyond the development of software may include participation in component and data architecture design, technology planning, product evaluation, advanced testing processes, and buy vs. build recommendations. Individuals also provide input to project plans related to the Application Development initiative.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or closely related field) and 4 years of experience
• 3+ years of experience with ESRI ArcGIS v10.2.1 or v10.6.1 Server and Desktop
• 1+ year with C+, ArcObjects API, ArcFMSolutions API, Oracle SQL, .NET, Java, and Python
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Benefits

• Pay ranges from $92K to $96K annually ($46 to $48 per hour), commensurate with experience
• Optional participation in benefits plan (medical, dental, vision, etc.)
• Contract opportunity with potential for extension or direct hire
