Opportunity Our client, a leading global provider of wire harnesses, subassemblies, and value-added assembly services, is looking for a Summer 2018 Intern for their Troy, MI location! In this internship role, you will support engineering staff to create and maintain CAD models and drawings in the development of automotive wire harnesses and associated components.

Responsibilities
- Create technical wiring harness drawings, value-added assembly drawings, and component drawings for customer projects using 2D software
- Document entry and management within a PLM environment
- Support activities required to release company products related to new model or engineering change activities
- Complete work on time with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Qualifications
- Completed Junior year, have reached Senior class status
- Pursuing Electrical or Mechanical Engineering degree with an interest in Automotive Engineering
- Good understanding of design and drafting principals
- CAD related training and experience in applicable 2D software packages
- Familiarity with VeSys and/or Inventor is a plus
- Prefer local candidates as no housing assistance provided
