Job: Database Administrator – Ann Arbor

Qualifications

Must have a Minimum of two years:
– MS SQL Server 2008/2012 Administration
– Linux / Windows operating system
– Oracle/ MSSql
– Oracle 11G
– Oracle 10g
– UNIX SHELL SCRIPTING
– Unix / Linux

Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be expected to configure, and upgrade Oracle/MSSQL server software and related products. Evaluate Oracle/MSSQL features and related products. Implement and maintain database security. Perform database tuning and performance monitoring. Perform application/SQL tuning and performance monitoring. Heavy on MS SQL Server 2008/2012 administration, backups, restores. The candidate must have strong knowledge of the Oracle 10g/11g/12 databases, MSSQL 2005/2008/2012/2014 databases, related utilities and tools. Strong Knowledge of the underlying Linux/Windows operating system. As well have experience in code migration, database change management and data management through the various stages of the development life cycle. You will perform general technical trouble shooting and give consultation to development teams. Provide database administration support during deployments and migrations.
Familiarity with Unix/Linux shell scripting or any other scripting a plus

The team is a small and diversified and any knowledge of Application Server administration is also a plus.  You will work as part of a team and provide 7×24 support.  Troubleshooting and Support to Application teams for performance and deployment issues.
