Job: Accounting Manager – Ferndale/Auburn Hills

Overview

Our client, a well-established machine tool designer and manufacturer, is looking for an Accounting Manager to join their team. In this role, the Accounting Manager will be responsible for the key accounting activities of the company in compliance with US GAAP and group processes/policies. The company is currently located in Ferndale, but plans to move to a brand new facility in Auburn Hills in 2019.

Responsibilities

• Prepares financial data in accordance with US GAAP and coordinates all tax matters with external CPA
• Reports to the holding company on a monthly basis for budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
• Manages the relationship with financial institutions
• Manages accounts payable (A/P), issuing invoices, and reaching out to clients, as needed
• Manages accounts receivable (A/R), monitoring collections, and reaching out to clients, as needed
• Ensures that all reporting is compliant with US GAAP and group processes/policies
• Ensures that all data in the IT system represents actual costs and revenues of the company
• Other duties include submission of payroll data to external processing service

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 3+ years of experience in payroll and accounting
• Knowledge of Peachtree/Sage and Oracle E-Business Suite is a plus.
