Job: Project Director (Auto) – Southfield

Opportunity

Our client, a leading developer of custom-engineered and application-specific products and solutions utilizing the latest technologies, is seeking a Project Director to join their North American Automotive (NAA) Program Launch Team in Southfield, MI.

Responsibilities

• Complete Project/Program/Product ownership
• Proactively manage a technical and cross-functional product development team
• Act as primary technical interface to the customer
• Lead technical problem resolution for design, testing, and manufacturing issues
• Own product design, release and bill of material (BOM)
• Support business development activities during RFQ phase

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
• 10+ years of automotive product development and/or launch experience
• Strong business acumen
• Organizational management experience (technical functional leader and/or group manager)
• Ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel
• Excellent communication skills with experience in customer communication, presentation and negotiations
