Job: Chemical Technician – Indianapolis

Opportunity

Our Fortune 500 client is looking for a Chemical Manufacturing Technician to join their team in Indianapolis, IN. The ideal candidate will have a strong chemical manufacturing aptitude and is able to work well with others while maintaining a safe work environment for 8-12 hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Operate pipes, valves, and similar equipment for chemical batch manufacturing
• Package and dispose of chemicals
• Perform incoming and outgoing material inspections
• Operate forklifts, manual lift stations, pallet jacks, etc. as necessary
• Perform minor, routine, and proactive maintenance of equipment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience with chemical manufacturing
• DOT Hazmat/IATA/IMDG Certification to ship Dangerous goods preferred

Benefits

• Pay is $40K to $44K annually ($20-$22 per hour), based on experience
• Full suite of benefits offered (medical, dental, vision, etc.)
• 2-year contract with the potential for extension or direct hire
