Job: Senior Test Technician – Auburn Hills

Opportunity

Our client, a global testing, certification, inspection and training provider, seeks a Senior Test Technician in Auburn Hills, MI. This lab conducts component durability testing on a wide range of products for the automotive industry. The main focus of the Senior Test Technician will be Vibration testing. The selected candidate demonstrates characteristics that foster team progress, takes the initiative to take on challenging assignments and the ability to create opportunity where little exist. This role will require daily interaction with company customers and the test laboratory.

Responsibilities

• Customer liaison for test programs by providing test schedule, timing and regular test updates
• Support overall laboratory development
• Train and Guide new technicians/ engineers on products and processes
• Prepare customers samples and assist in calibration of test equipment
• Work with fellow Project Managers to schedule personnel and equipment for incoming testing
• Hold project meetings with team, and communicate and resolve test issues
• Prepare and review technical reports

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related
• 3+ years of automotive testing experience
• Experience with electro-dynamic shakers and environmental chambers
• Project management experience a plus
• Customer-facing experience
• Previous military experience a bonus
